Travelling on business isn’t like going on holiday. While you might do a little bit of sightseeing, your priority is work, so at the end of the day, you want somewhere quiet to relax and unwind until your next meeting. You may be wondering where to stay when you travel on business, so here are some ideas to make your life easier.

Pick long stay accommodation

Many people who travel on business do so for longer periods of time. While a hotel is nice, it’s not always suitable for longer stays. You should look for long term stay accommodation Ekkamai Bangkok, which will give you a more homely environment where you can settle in.

Long stay accommodation also tends to have facilities such as:

  • Kitchenettes or kitchens
  • Separate living areas
  • Storage space
  • On-site gyms

This means they’re much more homely than a hotel room and you have everything you need on hand. You can feel like you are in a home away from home.

Pick a quieter location

On holiday, you’re likely to want to stay at the heart of the action. But when you travel on business, you’re at work, so you will no doubt prefer quieter neighbourhoods. Pick a quieter location such as the suburbs of a city, so you aren’t kept up at night by people partying. You’ll also be less distracted when you need to work on things like presentations in the evening or if you simply want an early night.

Check transport connections

Travelling on business usually means having to get from place to place quickly. You should look online at maps of where you need to go during your stay, and book somewhere with good transport links. Some cities are driveable, but if you aren’t familiar with the area, you may be better off sticking to cabs and public transport. Find somewhere that’s conveniently located near a metro station or similar, and you’ll find it much easier to get around.

When you travel on business, you want to be comfortable and feel like you’re at home. However, it’s also important to find a place that’s convenient, while being in a quieter part of town if at all possible. If you’re staying more than a couple of nights, then hotels can be inconvenient, as you feel like you’re trapped in one room. For longer stays, serviced apartments or similar are usually the best option, giving you the best of both worlds.
